Can Human Eye Drops Be Used On Cats' and Kittens' Eyes Too?

One of the cats which usually visits our house to have something to eat had a sore eye.

Its left eye was too red while the right eye was fine.

When my brother saw it, his "good Samaritan" instinct made him carry it with him while looking for the eye drops he has inside the cabinet.

This brand of eye drop by the way is as gentle as water so it could just be bought over-the-counter in pharmacies nationwide even without prescriptions.

He put a drop on its red eye and boom!

What do you think happened to the cat's eye?

Redness gone? Relieved? No!

Despite the gentleness of the eye drop, the cat's left eye bulged.

Regret was an understatement of the feeling my brother felt when just right after the eye drop dropped on the cat's eye, the swelling automatically occurred.
